It’s important to know how to get money fast in Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Earning new abilities for Majima, upgrading the ship with better guns, and buying everything from rings to consumables all require cash. Defeating groups of enemies is unfortunately not the best method to earn money, as mobs only drop about $10 to $100 early in the game. That’s a drop in the bucket when it comes to upgrades that cost thousands of dollars. However, there are thankfully several early grinding spots and a few ways to earn thousands of cash within minutes in Pirate Yakuza.
How to get money fast in Pirate Yakuza
The best way to get money fast in Pirate Yakuza is completing bounties and grinding the Pirates Coliseum.
About halfway through Chapter 2, Goro Majima will gain access to bounties where he can collect heaps of cash for defeating specific enemies spread throughout the map. The easier one-star bounties will earn $1,600 while more difficult bounties will net exponentially more (4-star bounties are worth $16,000). Thanks to multiple attack boost upgrades, decently powerful rings, and plenty of healing items, we were able to clear the 4-star bounties right out of the gate, but you can progress through them at your own pace.
Another fantastic option is the Pirates Coliseum that fully unlocks near the end of Chapter 2. Specifically, we’ve found that the Rank 3 Shooters’ Garden battle under Madlantis Mania is the fastest choice to earn money while earning heaps of experience points for your boarding crew members. This battle only has two fights and has a base reward of $2,800. We were able to complete it under a minute for an S rank, which increases the reward to $4,225. That’s a lot of money for not a lot of work, and you can complete this as many times as you want.
If you’re having getting through this battle, we recommend trying some of the easier battles in the Pirates’ Coliseum to level up your crew. You can also drop the difficulty, if just temporarily, to get through the fights faster.
If you’re looking to grind out Aloha Links, we recommend the Aloha Beach and Anaconda Shopping Center in Honolulu since they spawn many NPCs on the field. The corner connecting Kolonahe St. and Anaconda Blvd. is also a good spot for getting seedlings. All three of these locations have mobs that don’t have tough semi-bosses in them, so regular fights should be a breeze.
