Patapon 1 + 2 Replay Announced During Nintendo Direct
Bandai Namco announced a collection of remasters of the first two Patapon games for the Nintendo Switch during the March 27, 2025 Nintendo Direct. It will be available on July 11, 2025. The rhythm-based tower defense series first debuted on the PSP in 2007, and there are three games in the series. However, only the first two games will be available in the upcoming bundle. It is unclear if the third game in the trilogy will also be remastered at a later date. The collection will include difficulty settings and the ability to keep the commands on screen at all times, adding more approachability options to what can be a challenging game. Despite being announced during the Nintendo Direct, the collection will also be available on other platforms. A product listing for Patapon 1 + 2 Replay has already appeared on Steam for PCs as well. Patapon was originally developed by the now defunct Japan Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is now being published by Bandai Namco, the company that also brought back Freedom Wars with Freedom Wars Remastered earlier in 2025.
