Few actors are as synonymous with a genre as Clint Eastwoodis with Westerns, as it is a subject that he has dedicated a large portion of his career towards. Although Eastwood would eventually go on to direct some of the greatest Westerns ever made, including the Best Picture winner Unforgiven, he first broke out to global audiences thanks to a trilogy of films he made with the Italian director Sergio Leoneback in the 1960s. The third entry in the series, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, became famous because of its iconic final shootout, but it was A Fistful of Dollars that initiated Eastwood’s working relationship with Leone.
