F1 fans were treated to another glimpse of the upcoming ‘F1’ movie produced by Lewis Hamilton The 2025 Formula 1 season begins this weekend, with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. Hours ahead of the first practice session of the 2025 campaign, producers released the official trailer for the upcoming F1 movie starring Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia. The movie, filmed at various grands prix over the past two F1 seasons, stars Pitt as veteran driver Sonny Hayes. Hayes is described in a press statement as the sport’s “most promising phenom of the 1990s until a major accident,” but he is brought back to help mentor Joshua Pierce, played by Idris, at the fictional team APXGP. F1 is also produced in part by Lewis Hamilton. The movie will be distributed in theaters and in IMAX by Warner Brothers, and debuts in North America on June 27, 2025.
