Official ‘Session 9’ Novelization Available Now from Echo On Publications

Fear is a place. And now it’s a book.

The official novelization of Session 9 has been published in hardcover, paperback, e-book, and audio book from the recently launched Echo On Publications.

Christian Francis — who has authored novelizations of Wishmaster, Vamp, and Titan Find — expands on the 2001 psychological horror film, offering fans new insights into the characters’ psyches and unveiling more twisted secrets from within the sinister asylum.

Director Brad Anderson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Stephen Gevedon, provides a foreword.

A hazardous materials crew is hired to clear out an abandoned mental asylum with a dark history. The job seems simple, but as they begin their work, strange discoveries and buried secrets begin to surface. The asylum’s walls whisper with the echoes of the past, and the crew members start to unravel—one by one.

As tensions rise and paranoia takes hold, the question remains: Is the horror inside the asylum a product of their own minds, or is something far more sinister at play?

“Bringing Session 9 into a literary form has been a huge honor for me,” said Francis. “Brad’s movie is a personal favorite since I sat in the cinema watching it back in ‘01, and I relished being able to expand on its themes and explore the horrors within. My novelization is not only a tribute to Brad’s amazing creation, but also an invitation to revisit the fear that it first inspired in audiences.”
