Anaïs, Molly and Gene Gallagher – the children of OasisNoel and Liam – have appeared in a new smartphone ad together.

The new Samsung ad sees them gather for a dinner party with friends, using the phone’s features to edit clips together. Perhaps taking after his dad’s penchant for random outbursts – which recently saw him joke about Peppa Pig joining Oasis on their tour – Liam’s son Gene kicks off the video by shouting: “Cringe!”.

Anaïs took the lead in another clip, with the model and photographer seen giving her guests a 15-minute countdown to leave her house, and one fan commented that it was “great to see the Gallagher family” as a “big Oasis fan”.

It’s quite different to the usual social media commentary surrounding the Gallagher children. In Anaïs’ case, the 25-year-old has routinely been branded a “nepo baby” – despite admitting it would be “tone deaf and irresponsible” if she didn’t admit the “leg up” in life her upbringing had given her in a 2022 interview with the Daily Mail.

Anaïs, whose mother is Meg Mathews, went on to say that she was “extremely grateful” for the opportunities she’s been afforded thanks to her famous parents. “But I do think there needs to be a push to hire people who are incredibly deserving,” she explained, “and they may not come from a background when they have all the contacts.”

Her father Noel then weighed in on the ongoing “nepo baby” discourse, saying “it depends which way you look at it”.

“My daughter she follows me around with a camera and she films me and all that,” he said in 2023. “She did a film about the making of the [upcoming High Flying Birds] album [‘Council Skies’].

“I guess you want to keep things close to home, but they have to be good at what they do. She’s good at what she does. She’s not just wandering around pointing a camera going, ‘Muhh there’s my dad’, she is great.”

Anaïs had also previously came out against the “ageism” and “misogyny” swirling on social media following the announcement of an Oasis reunion, taking to TikTok to write: “One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets.”

As was pointed out by NME’s Rishi Shah, Oasis have captured the hearts and minds of Gen Z across the board, with “Liam’s solo career in bringing the wider Oasis catalogue live and direct” to a younger generation of fans.

“As the UK prepares for the great ticketing war on Saturday at 9am, there will be plenty of new kids on the block, crouched over their laptops, praying to have the chance to finally see Oasis, alongside returning punters who have long craved that unmatched dose of nostalgia,” wrote Shah.

“It’s intriguing to gauge just how far demand will stretch, especially in comparison to Taylor Swift’s recent ‘Eras Tour’ or the 2.5million who applied for Knebworth tickets in 1996.”

Elsewhere, Liam Gallagher shared last year that his son Gene’s band, Villanelle, would act as the support for his ‘Definitely Maybe’ 30th anniversary tour.

Backlash prompted Liam again to defend his decision, writing online: “I’ve given many opportunities to many young bands over the years it’s what you do if you can now it’s VILLANELLES turn if you don’t like it FUCKOFF”.

He also told a fan that the harsh words were him “putting a few mouthy c***s in [their] place”, and denied accusations of nepotism by saying: “Is it fuck he’s my son it’s what you do”.

More recently, he addressed fans who were speculating about the length of the upcoming shows, jokingly telling them it would be exactly “59 minutes and 59 seconds”.

The Oasis reunion shows kick off in July and include dates at Manchester’s Heaton Park, London’s Wembley Stadium, Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, Dublin’s Croke Park, and Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium before heading abroad.
