Natalie Dormer Plays Pioneering Pediatric Oncologist Audrey Evans in Great Trailer For Historical Drama AUDREY'S CHILDREN
A great trailer has been released for the historical drama Audrey’s Children, which is based on the true story of pioneering pediatric oncologist, Dr. Audrey Evans, who launched the first Ronald McDonald House for families of children fighting cancer. Her research and work in the medical field has impacted millions of children and their families for generations. She is played in the film by Natalie Dormer, who is joined in the cast by Jimmi Simpson, Clancy Brown, and Brandon Micheal Hall.Audrey's Children is directed by Ami Canaan Mann (Morning, Texas Killing Fields, Jackie & Ryan) from a screenplay written by Julia Fisher Farbman. The film’s synopsis reads:“Audrey's Children tells the untold true story of visionary British physician Dr. Audrey Evans (Natalie Dormer), who burst onto the scene in 1969 as the first female Chief of Oncology at the world-renowned Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Battling sexism, medical conventions, and the subterfuge of her peers, Evans developed the first Neuroblastoma Staging System, co-founded the first Ronald McDonald House for families of patients, and, ultimately, impacted the lives of millions of children and families around the world.”This looks like a beautiful story about an incredible woman. I can’t wait to see it. Check out the trailer below, and watch Audrey’s Children in select US theatres on March 28th.
