A last-lap flyer by Marc Miller put Dome Motorsport atop the time sheets in opening practice for tomorrow evening’s Pirelli GT4 America Lone Star Enduro at Circuit of The Americas.

Miller reeled off a 2:13.960 in his Mercedes-AMG GT4 to outrun session-long pace-setter Braydon Arthur by 0.111 seconds.

Alex Ellis also made a late-session improvement to third in the No. 77 VPX Motorsport Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, with Kay van Berlo and Jesse Webb completing the overall top-five for ACI Motorsports and JMF, respectively.

Allen Patten, meanwhile, was quickest in the Am class in his No. 606 Thunder Bunny Racing Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2.

The session saw two red flags, the first for the No. 28 Fast Track Racing BMW of Nate Cicero, who had an incident in the opening minutes. The car did not return for the remainder of the running.

A second red came out with 15 minutes to go in the 45-minute session for a two-car incident involving Jason Golan’s Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT4 and the No. 007 ProSport Competition Aston Martin Vantage GT4 of Tim Savage.

The session restarted with five minutes to go, which saw the majority of the field make improvements.

The second and final practice session prior to qualifying is on tap for 4:35 p.m. CST this afternoon.
