Micah Richards rebuked by Kate Abdo for cheeky two-word response to clip of Bayern fan that sent CBS studio into eerie silence

Micah Richards was told off by Kate Abdo for his cheeky comment about a Bayern Munich fan live on the CBS broadcast.  Arsenal’s 3-0 thrashing of Real Madrid was the main story of Tuesday’s Champions League fixtures, but the Milan against Bayern game was also worthy of note. It was a missed opportunity that soon haunted Bayern when Lautaro Martinez netted a trivela shot into the roof of the net after Marcus Thuram elegantly flicked it to the Argentine.  In reaction to the goal, a Bayern fan was captured accidentally splashing a drink on her face in frustration.    Thomas Muller equalised in the 85th minute, but any hope of reaching Milan’s level was quickly extinguished when Davide Frattesi tapped in the winner. After the match the CBS co-hosts Kate Abdo, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards reacted to the video of the fan splashing herself. Richards said ‘no comment’ which sent his co-hosts into a laughing fit.    The former Liverpool player had his head down on the table while Abdo struggled to find her words. “Could you take it down a notch,” she said in an attempt to calm the atmosphere while Richards innocently shuffled his notes. In reaction to Richards’ comment a fan posted on X: “Micah Richards is about to get sacked on-air, there’s no way he said what he just said.” “Man who doesn’t love this s***,” said another viewer. The CBS panel which also features Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has built a reputation for their comedic and entertaining coverage of Champions League nights. In a similar fashion to how American sports such as basketball is covered by former players Charles Barkley and  Shaquille O’Neal. The CBS crew have quickly risen to fan favourites as videos swarm X of their match reactions and coverage. The Champions League continues on Wednesday night as Paris Saint-Germain host Aston Villa, while Barcelona play Borussia Dortmund.
