Luke Littler set to pocket £130,000 with lucrative extra events booked in

Luke Littler’s wallet is set to explode. Having turned 18 in January, it means the recently-crowned world champion can participate in exhibition events. Littler is poised to earn a staggering six figures thanks to a number of exhibitionsGetty Exhibitions, which take place far away from TV cameras, are non-competitive events that allow players to enjoy themselves without the pressure of needing to win. According to The Sun, Littler has signed up to a whopping 13 exhibition events. The report adds players participating in the events can earn up to £10,000-a-night. They also have the chance to add even more to the bank balance via merchandise sales on the night. Should Littler turn up to every exhibition he is pencilled in for, the 18-year-old is expected to rake in a whopping £130,000. The six figures will add a healthy boost to Littler’s eye-watering career earnings, which is already over £1m. The first of Littler’s scheduled exhibitions is in the Scottish town of Kelso on April 25. He’s also set to take part at events in Blackpool, Derby, Skegness, Northampton, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Portsmouth, Ayr and his hometown of Warrington. But the one exhibition Littler is set to take part in that will undoubtedly generate headlines is ‘Armageddon’, scheduled for May 16 in Leicester. Joining Littler on the bill for that evening is Luke Humphries, Raymond van Barneveld and 16-time world champion Phil Taylor. Littler could take on Phil Taylor in a hotly-anticipated match-upGetty Taylor, 64, has previously shared numerous nuggets of wisdom for Littler over the course of the teenager’s stratospheric rise. However, the darts icon’s recent pieces of advice weren’t exactly traditional. “If I could give him one piece of advice, it wouldn’t be anything to do with his darts or the way he navigates his way around the board,” Taylor told talkSPORT in January. “I would tell him, shoes. If you’re not standing comfortably on the oche, you’re not going to hit a target the size of your little fingernail, so make sure your shoes fit perfectly and take two or three pairs with you everywhere. “And sleep. Make sure you get enough rest. I still take a mattress topper with me everywhere I go because some hotel’s beds are like sleeping in the middle of the road. “Again, your darts won’t go where you want them to land if you are bleary-eyed after a restless night.” Taylor reminded Littler about the importance of getting a good night’s sleepGetty It appears Littler hasn’t had much of an issue when it comes to finding time to sleep, especially when he’s on tour. Speaking to the Daily Star, Littler revealed he rarely gets much time to explore the cities he goes to when travelling for a tournament. When asked whether his schedule allows for some spare time to go out and explore, Littler replied: “Not really, because the schedule is tight! “So I just want to be in bed all day, but when we go out, we go and have a look around.” Littler’s next event is night three of the Premier League in Dublin on February 20.
