Congrats on the W though.” Meanwhile, somebody else added: “Worst cut I’ve seen in a while.” Luckily, Padilla saw out the contest to the final bell to pull off the upset on away soil. Many pundits felt Herbert should have been given the nod, although, in truth, neither man did much of note over the three rounds. In the second round, with his witts now about him, Topuria flattened Herbert with a dynamite right hand in a stunning comeback. It remains the most trouble Topuria has been in during his unblemished 16-0 career. And it is still his only appearance at lightweight. That is expected to change soon though, with Topuria recently vacating his featherweight strap to move up to 155lbs.
