Thanks to the Devils’ 4-0 victory, the Lightning are in.
It’s the eighth straight year Tampa Bay has reached the playoffs and 11th in 12 seasons.
The team won back-to-back Stanley Cup titles in 2020 and 2021 and reached a third consecutive final in 2022, but lost to the Colorado Avalanche.
The Lightning (44-26-5) are second in the Atlantic Division with 93 points and can improve their seeding with seven games remaining on the schedule.
Tampa Bay returns to the ice Saturday night against the Buffalo Sabres.
