“Lifetoon” Is Clearly One Of The Best Online Tools For Creating Comics That I’ve Seen – & It’s Free (For Now)

As most ELL teachers – and many others – do, I periodically have students create comics. They can be creative, fun, and excellent tools for language development.

Sometimes I have students hand draw them, but that can take a loooong time.

There are plenty of other free online tool for comic creation, which you can find at The Best Ways To Make Comic Strips Online (there are also related lesson plans there).

Lifetoon is a new comic-creation tool that utilizes AI and is free – for now, at least.

I told it the story of one of my many classroom misadventures, and it created the comic you see at the top of the post (the student in question didn’t return for two months, but we still have a good relationship – ten years later!).

I’d love my students to try it out at school, but since it as an “app” prefix, I’d bet dollars to donuts that it will be categorized as “unknown” by the district Internet filter and blocked, but hope springs eternal!
