Leroy Sane’s ‘desired destination’ has reportedly been revealed with Arsenal and Chelsea interested in signing the Bayern Munich star on a free transfer.

The former Manchester City winger’s contract expires next month and while Bayern want to keep him, they have been unable to agree fresh terms.

The German international has been offered a three-year deal at a reduced salary which would still earn him around £12million-a-season but it is said he is not satisfied.

With Bayern refusing to bow to his demands, it is looking increasingly likely that Sane will leave the newly crowned Bundesliga champions and the 29-year-old is not short of suitors.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle United are keen on the forward who has 11 goals and five assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances this season.

Prior to joining Bayern for £41m in 2020, Sane recorded 83 goal contributions in 139 games for Man City, winning two Premier League titles.

And, according to Sky Germany, his preference would be to return to England’s top-flight with an ‘ambitious club’, with Arsenal and Chelsea appealing prospects to him.

And in a further boost to the Gunners and the Blues, Sane is not interested in a switch to Spurs or Newcastle.

However, it is also said that the German is also very open to moving to a La Liga club and by recently hiring agent Pini Zahavi, he’s hinted that that’s what he wants to do.

Zahavi previously negotiated the transfers of David Alaba and Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Of course, there is a chance Sane stays at the Allianz arena, with Bayern sporting director Max Eberl saying on Friday: ‘Our wish is still to extend with Leroy.

‘But we’ve also agreed on a framework. And if that framework were to be exceeded, it would become difficult. It’s now up to Leroy.’
