LeBron James Is Barbie's First Ken Doll of a Professional Athlete

Barbie has unveiled a LeBron James doll, making the star athlete the first-ever professional athlete to be interpreted into a Ken doll. Made in partnership with the LeBron James Family Foundation (LJFF), James is depicted off the court sporting a casual lifestyle look adorned with references to the player's career, style, and life.Working closely with Mattel, James picked out an initialed varsity jacket decorated with patches, including a 23 patch to represent his jersey number. Under the duo-tone jacket, the doll wears the signature We Are Family t-shirt from his eponymous charity and checked trousers.On feet, the doll wears blue and black Nike Terminator Highs, accompanied by a golden timepiece, sunglasses, Beats headphones, a fanny pack, and his ‘I Promise’ band. As part of the collaboration, Mattel has donated to James' LJFF initiatives. In support of James' local community in Akron, Ohio, the LJFF offers educational, housing, and healthcare aid, as well as job training.
