Lamborghini SC63 added to updated Sebring test entry list

The No. 63 Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse SC63 will run at this week’s IMSA Sanctioned Test at Sebring International Raceway after all.

The SC63’s omission from the original Sebring Test entry list published a week ago, coming off a discouraging early retirement from the Daytona 24 Hours, had perhaps caused some fans and observers to start worrying about the Italian marque’s commitment to the rest of its IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup schedule.

However, IMSA has released an updated entry list for today which confirms that the Lamborghini intends to run, with Romain Grosjean and Andrea Caldarelli behind the wheel of the No.63 SC63.

Caldarelli drove the SC63 in last year’s IMSA Endurance Cup events but has joined Lamborghini GTD PRO team Pfaff Motorsports for 2025, after being displaced from the SC63’s regular driver lineup due to the manufacturer’s withdrawal from the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Grosjean has been confirmed by Lamborghini as one of the SC63’s drivers for the remaining four Endurance Cup rounds, joining ex-WEC drivers Mirko Bortolotti and Daniil Kvyat at the Sebring 12 Hours and beyond.

In total, 40 cars are now at Sebring, including two additions to the GTD field which are on track starting this morning for the first day of the three-day test.

Vasser Sullivan Racing, which originally planned to bring only the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 from GTD PRO, has also brought the GTD No. 12 Lexus to Sebring, to be shared by Parker Thompson, Jack Hawksworth, Frankie Montecalvo, and Ben Barnicoat.

Conquest Racing is also at Sebring with its No. 34 Ferrari 296 GT3, but instead of its regular lineup of Manny Franco and Daniel Serra, Conquest’s former Champ Car World Series driver Jan Heylen is sharing the car with Jaden Conwright, the first recipient of the IMSA Diverse Driver Scholarship in 2022.

Tom Dillmann, Jon Field, and Bijoy Garg have been added to the entry list for the No. 43 Inter Europol Compeition ORECA LMP2. Parker Kligerman is also at the test, added to the line-up of the No. 78 Forte Racing Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2.

Philipp Eng and Robin Frijns have been scratched from the No. 24 and No. 25 Team RLL BMW M Hybrid V8s, respectively.
