KTMB offering special East Coast Hari Raya 2025 train services – March 28-29, April 2&4; from RM90 one-way

Keratapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) is offering four Ekspres Lambaian Aidilfitri special edition services to serve passengers returning to their hometowns in the East Coast, Bernama has reported.

A total of 312 tickets will be available for each of the four services to the East Coast, for a total of 1,248 tickets in this season, KTMB CEO Datuk Mohd Rani Hisham Samsudin said. These tickets offer passengers the option to select superior sleeper coaches and premier seating for added comfort and convenience, he said.

“This special train also features a buffet coach offering a variety of meals, as well as a ‘chillax’ coach, an exclusive lounge area where passengers can enjoy a more comfortable journey,” Mohd Rani Hisham said on the Bernama TV Apa Khabar Malaysia programme.

The special train service will run on March 28 and April 2, 2025, and these will depart KL Sentral at 11pm for arrival in Tumpat at 3:53pm. Meanwhile on March 29 and April 4, 2025, the train service will depart from Tumpat at 10:45pm, for arrival at KL Sentral at 3:10pm.

These train services will stop at 16 stations; these are Bandar Tasik Selatan, Kajang, Seremban, Pulau Sebang, Gemas, Bahau, Mentakab, Jerantut, Kuala Lipis, Gua Musang, Dabong, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Pasir Mas, Wakaf Bharu, and Tumpat.

Tickets are priced from RM90 to RM95, one-way, and can be purchased online through the KTM Mobile (KITS) mobile app, and through the official Keratapi Tanah Melayu Berhad website. For physical purchases, tickets may also be bought at KTMB kiosks at selected stations, the KTMB CEO said.
