The race between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris would be part of the storyline in the Apple TV+ show, which pulls from real-world events when writing stories for its characters. Many on the team hoped for Harris to win because it would provide interesting stories for the show as the first female president takes over the leadership of the biggest democracy in the world. "The last few weeks that we were filming it were the weeks just as we were coming up on the election and we filmed it maybe a couple weeks after the election and it was a real shift,” series star Karen Pittman said in an appearance on SiriusXM's The Julia Cunningham Show.
