Tshikeva – known as TKV – will meet Adeleye for the vacant British title in Manchester on Saturday. The two rivals almost clashed during a heated media interview earlier this week but things boiled over on Thursday afternoon. Adeleye reacted furiously to suggestions he was scared, threatening to ‘beat up’ members of JKV’s team. ‘I’m telling you Jeamie, I’m going to hurt you. I’m telling you,’ Adeleye said. ‘Trust me. Telling me I’m scared, what are you talking about, bro? I’ll beat up to and anyone around you. What are you talking about? I’m the truth. Trust me.’ ‘Don’t talk like that,’ JKV said as things escalated further, slamming his hands on the table in front of him with the Londoner then standing up and sending it flying. Both men exited the stage in opposite directions with a traditional final face-off between the two perhaps widely scrapped. Adeleye vs TKV is part of a stacked card at the Co-op Arena in Manchester on Saturday night, headlined by Joe Joyce vs Filip Hrgovic. Aside from his defeat to Wardley, Adeleye has won 13 of his 14 pro fights to date with 12 of those wins coming via knockout. TKV also has just one defeat on his record – a shock defeat to Igor Adiel Macedo two years ago. He has since reeled off three victories on the bounce to get himself back into title contention. Adeleye has a history of press conference scraps, clashing with Wardley ahead of their 2023 fight on the Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou undercard.
