Hawkins, Goth Board Nolan’s “The Odyssey”

Two more names have signed on for roles in Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s “The Odyssey”.

Corey Hawkins (“Kong: Skull Island,” “The Last Voyage of the Demeter”) and Mia Goth (“MaXXXine,” “Suspiria”) have both boarded and project. As per usual, details of their roles are under wraps.

The cast continues to swell and now includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong’o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Elliot Page, Jon Bernthal, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Samantha Morton, Bill Irwin, Jesse Garcia, Shiloh Fernandez, Rafi Gavron and Will Yun Lee.

The 8th century poem recounts the ten-year journey of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, as he travels home after the Trojan War.

He and his crew encounter many perils, including massive monsters, lethal sirens, a sorceress and the vengeful god of the sea. Meanwhile, Odysseus’s wife and grown son must contend with aggressive suitors that have designs on the throne.

The project will shoot throughout the first half of this year in Sicily, the UK and Morocco using brand-new IMAX film technology. The film will open July 17th 2026.
