A known insider has claimed that Gears of War Collection will be revealed soon, and will release on the PS5 in 2025. The series’ PS5 port is all but confirmed at this point, with a number of known insiders claiming to have heard that it’s in development for Sony’s platform.
Gears of War Collection reportedly launching on PS5 day-and-date with Xbox and PC
Gears of War Collection is rumored to contain remasters of the first three games. If true, the trilogy would be a good starting point for new players across all platforms, including PlayStation owners with no prior exposure to the series.
According to insider eXtas1s (via Reddit), the remastered trilogy is currently scheduled for release in 2025, and its PS5 version will launch day-one alongside Xbox and PC releases. EXtas1s also claims that the reveal is set for the Xbox Showcase.
EXtas1s has somewhat of a mixed reputation, so take this rumor with a grain of salt. However, they’ve been right more times than they’ve been wrong, and frankly, Xbox games coming to the PS5 is hardly just guesswork at this point.
The only confirmation we’re waiting for is whether Gears of War Collection exists or not. We’ll update our readers when we have more information.
