Ricardo Feller will make his debut as a Porsche-contracted driver as part of Lionspeed GP’s Bronze Cup lineup in GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup, the team has revealed.
The Swiss racer switched brands over the winter, calling time on a multi-year tenure with Audi that included three years as a factory driver and signing with Porsche.
Feller was originally slated to join the Allied Racing DTM effort alongside Bastian Buus before that program was canceled at late notice.
While the 24-year-old has since been confirmed to remain in DTM with Land Motorsport and Audi, he has also been named as part of Lionspeed GP’s No. 80 Porsche 911 GT3 R in what will be his first program as a Porsche driver.
Feller will team up with team principal Patrick Kolb and Bronze-rated driver Gabriel Rindone, marking the first time he has raced in Bronze Cup.
Previously experience includes an effort in Silver Cup that resulted in the 2021 Endurance Cup title with Emil Frey Racing, as well as an overall Sprint Cup drivers’ championship with Tresor Orange1 in 2023.
Last year, Feller formed part of Tresor Attempto Racing’s Pro-class Audi alongside Christopher Haase and Alex Aka, remaining in title contention all the way into the Jeddah finale despite not winning a race.
“I’m looking forward to my first program with Porsche this year with Lionspeed in GTWC Europe Endurance Cup, sharing the car with Patrick and Gabriel in Bronze Cup,” said Feller.
“I think we will have a great atmosphere in the team and hopefully have a good time on and off track. I’m really thankful to Lionspeed for having me.
“It’s my first time in Bronze Cup, so for sure it’s a new challenge for me but it’s perfect for me to build up my experience with the Porsche 911 GT3 R. Hopefully, we will have a great season.”
The Endurance Cup season kicks off with a six-hour race at Circuit Paul Ricard on April 11-13.
