‘Fear Street: Prom Queen’ Posters Pay Tribute to Retro R.L. Stine Book Covers

In the wake of yesterday’s release date reveal, which let us know that the film is coming to Netflix on May 23, the streamer has released new Fear Street: Prom Queen posters today.

These two official posters for Netflix’s fourth Fear Street movie pay tribute to the classic Fear Street book covers from the 1990s, and you can check them both out below. Below them you’ll find the actual original cover for The Prom Queen, the Fear Street book the movie is based on!

Just how bloody is the next movie going to get? Fear Street: Prom Queen is rated “R” for Strong bloody violence and gore, teen drug use, language and some sexual references.”

Fear Street: Prom Queen takes place between the events of Fear Street: 1994 and Fear Street: 1978. Matt Palmer (Calibreis directing the franchise’s brand new fourth installment.

In the upcoming horror movie, “Welcome back to Shadyside. In this next installment of the blood-soaked Fear Street franchise, prom season at Shadyside High is underway, and the school’s wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of ’88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.”

The ensemble cast includes India Fowler (The Nevers, Insomnia), Suzanna Son (Red Rocket, The Idol), Fina Strazza (Paper Girls, Above the Shadows), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty, Cinnamon), Ella Rubin (The Idea of You), Chris Klein (American Pie), with Lili Taylor (Outer Range) and Katherine Waterston (The End We Start From).

Ariana Greenblatt, Darrin Baker, Rebecca Ablack, Ilan O’Driscoll, Damian Romeo, Dakota Taylor, Eden Summer Gilmore, Brennan Clost, and Cecilia Lee also star.

Matt Palmer & Donald Mcleary wrote the screenplay, based on R.L. Stine’s book.
