Everton fan pulls off ‘masterstroke’ prank for Liverpool Premier League title celebrations
Everton supporters have been lauded for their 's***housery'.

An Everton fan has gone viral after pulling off a ‘masterstroke’ prank for Liverpool’s Premier League title celebrations at Anfield on Sunday.
The Reds produced a 5-1 comeback victory over Tottenham to crown themselves as champions of England for a record-equalling 20th time.
There was a full-on party in the city of Liverpool before and after the game, both inside and outside the stadium, as supporters celebrated the triumph.
Many Liverpool fans set off red flares – leading to smokescreens of their club’s colours – but there were quite a few blue flares seen going off too.
Blue is, of course, the colours of Liverpool’s Merseyside rivals Everton with one Toffees supporter managing to play a trick during Sunday’s title party.

The prank was revealed by @LesleyField5 on X, who posted on social media about how a fellow Everton fan purchased thousands of blue flares and changed the packaging to make it look like they were actually red.
The Everton supporter managed to sell the secret blue flares to a number of Liverpool fans, who purchased them ahead of the game against Spurs.
‘My mates just texted me there,’ @LesleyField5 wrote on X. ‘He bought 10,000 blue flares and spent the last 4 weeks taking the blue labels off them and putting red labels on them. I hope he sells the f***** lot.’
It was posted on April 19, eight days before Liverpool’s match against Tottenham, in which the Reds only needed a point to clinch the title.
It went viral on the day of the game when the blue flares were spotted on social media during Liverpool’s title celebrations.
The post, which includes images of the flares, has been viewed on X over eight million times – with over 22,000 likes, 1,000 retweets and 415 replies.
@LesleyField5 posted again on the day of the game with a video of Liverpool fans setting off a blue flare inside Anfield, captioning it with a series of laughing emojis and writing: ‘It worked.’
Many football fans lauded the Everton supporter for the prank, with @BlueBren labelling it ‘a masterstroke’.
‘Imagine getting a stadium ban and [you] use the wrong colour,’ @BizzaBrandon31 added, referencing the fact that the use of flares are banned inside football stadiums.
‘This is the kind of s***housery I can get on board with,’ @ezzalodge said about the trick.
It’s not the first time an Everton fan has gone viral for pranking Liverpool supporters in recent years.
Back in 2022, before the Reds’ Champions League final against Real Madrid, a group of Liverpool supporters were reportedly left stranded after a coach they were expecting to drive them to Paris never showed up.
Everton fans poked fun at the incident by suggesting the coach driver was called ‘Richard Arlison’ – a pun on their former player Richarlison – with memes going viral and one supporter creating a fake Companies House page naming ‘Mr Arlsion’ as a person with control of a coach company.
