Eddie Hall suggests wild 2v4 as next fight after stunning KO on MMA debut: ‘I want to challenge myself’

Eddie Hall has suggested teaming up with Mariusz Pudzianowski for a mammoth 2v4 in his next fight. Hall knocked out Pudzianowski at KSW 105 on Saturday night in what was his first-ever professional MMA bout. Hall and Pudzianowski weight in at a combined 601lbs for their MMA fightKSW The 37-year-old had previously entered the MMA world in a 2v1 battle last year, but went one-on-one for the first time in Poland, stopping his opponent inside 30 seconds in what was a remarkable upset on paper. Five-time World’s Strongest Man Pudzianowski had fought 26 times in the sport with a record of 17-9 before his fight against Hall. Nonetheless, it was the Englishman who looked like he had the upper hand, as he rocked the Pole with a lethal right hand before finishing him with an array of strikes on the canvas. Immediately after his win where he broke his hand, Hall apologised to Pudzianowski for hitting him on the back of the head, offering an instant shot at redemption through a rematch. However, speaking to talkSPORT ahead of his flight to Poland, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man said there’s a few other ideas up his sleeve for the future. “Another 2v1 fight,” Hall explained when asked about his ideal future in combat sports. “Maybe me and Mariusz team up and we go 2v4. I don’t know, but I just want to do fun s***. “I want to challenge myself. I just want to do fun stuff in my life.” Hall had originally signed to fight fellow Strongmen Brian Shaw, Martin Ford and Mitchell Hooper last February in Qatar. Meaning the idea of him joining forces with Pudzianowski could lead to an all-out battle of the Strongmen, although Hall admitted promotions may struggle to find a cage big enough. Hall told talkSPORT he would team up with Pudzianowski for his next fightKSW As he believes the ‘freak fight’ leagues are where he belongsKSW He tipped the scales at 334lbs [151.3kg], while Pudzianowski weighed in at 267lbs [121kg], meaning a fight with four more men could require a cage that would withstand over one ton of pressure. I’ve got no aspirations to have a ranking in any fight Federation,” he added. “Where I belong is the freak fights, the 2v1s, the Mariusz Pudzianowski’s, the freak fights. I think that’s where I belong. “You put me in a ring with Tom Aspinall, it’s a recipe for disaster in all scenarios. “And that’s not something I want to do anyway, especially not Tom. He revealed to talkSPORT that he was training with the UFC star in preparation for his Pudzianowski fight. And while Hall asserted it had done him ‘a world of favours,’ he also admitted the experience was unsurprisingly humbling at the same time.
