AI Software Solutions provider Outsight has teamed up with travel retail marketing start-up E23 to enhance airport retail analytics using real-time movement tracking.

The partnership highlights the growing importance of optimising passenger flow, dwell times and customer interactions to maximise revenue and improve the overall airport retail experience.

The collaboration integrates Outsight’s Spatial AI Software Platform with E23’s retail solutions to anonymously track passenger movements in duty-free stores, lounges and commercial areas using LiDAR (light detection and ranging) technology.

The system gathers data on foot traffic, store engagement and checkout patterns, allowing retailers to enhance store layouts, product placements and queue management. This helps boost sales conversions, minimise congestion and improve the traveller experience.

Cross-referencing travel profiles and distribution insights with consumer-brand engagement data
