Dean Huijsen’s release clause revealed amid Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea links
The teenager is attracting a lot of attention.

Rising Bournemouth star Dean Huijsen has been attracting a lot of attention and can be bought for £50m this summer due to a release clause set to become active in the next transfer window.
The 19-year-old has had a unique career so far, coming through the youth ranks at Malaga before moving to Juventus and gaining his first real senior experience on loan at Roma for the first half of 2024.
Bournemouth snapped him up on a permanent deal from Juventus last summer for an initial £12.8m, which could rise to £15.3m with add-ons.
Since then he has been very impressive at centre-back for the Cherries in a fabulous season for Andoni Iraola’s side.
The Dutch-born Spain Under-21 international has made 19 Premier League appearances, with Bournemouth currently fifth in the top flight.
The likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been credited with interest in the teenager, who turns 20 in April.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that interested parties know how much they will have to spend to sign the 6’5″ defender, with a release clause becoming active this summer worth £50m.
Bournemouth would be loathed to lose one of their star performers as Iraola builds a very impressive team, however, it would represent a huge profit on a player they bought less than a year ago.
The Cherries are likely to be fielding offers for a number of their players after such an impressive season so far, while their manager is also likely to attract interest from bigger clubs.
The likes of Milos Kerkez, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo have all caught the eye this season and could be subject to bids.
Speaking in December of how impressed he has been with Huijsen since his arrival at Bournemouth, Iraola said: ‘I think he has shown from the beginning that he can do this.
‘He plays with confidence and even though he is 19-years-old he has played a few games. But now with the injury to Marcos [Senesi], he for sure will have to play more.
‘It is not always easy to play as a defender in the Premier League, but I hope the young players can grow together and continue their development. The good thing for them is that they have room to improve.’
Huijsen himself sounds like he is happy at Bournemouth at the moment as the club push for a highly improbable European finish which is looking more and more probable by the week.
Speaking to The Guardian last month, the young defender said: ‘We’re doing well and I think we can qualify for Europe. We have the quality and the potential.
‘Who wouldn’t want to play in Europe? I think everyone would like that. It would go down in the history of the club. It would be great for all of the players, fans and everyone involved. I think it is realistic with how we are playing.
‘We are doing well and all of the stats show that it’s not just luck and we deserve to be here. We just need to keep on working hard, stay humble and continue proving ourselves.’
After back-to-back wins over Everton and Southampton, the Cherries lookto make it a hat-trick of victories when they host Wolves on Saturday.
