CSM Expands to Third Porsche GT4 With Jones, Lastochkin

Czabok-Simpson Motorsport will add a third Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport beginning with next weekend’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, confirming Chase Jones alongside Nikita Lastochkin.

Jones will make the step up to GS competition after several runs in the TCR ranks last year.

The new pairing recently completed a two-day test with the Indianapolis-based team at Putnam Park.

“I’m ecstatic to get going at Laguna with the CSM team,” said Jones. “We’ve been working hard to make this happen ever since Daytona – learning, preparing, and staying focused, ready for whenever the opportunity came.

“After two solid days of testing with my teammates and co-driver Nikita, my confidence is high and the team culture is strong. We’re ready to execute.”

Team co-owner, Stephen Simpson added: “I’m excited to have Chase join CSM as Nikita’s teammate in our third entry.

“We have known him for a long time and he has been embedded with the team during the first two races this season.

“We have worked really hard with Chase and his partners to put this deal together and having him and Nikita at our recent two-day test will, for sure, have helped in getting him familiarized with the step up to the Porsche.”

The third entry comes in addition to the No. 2 Porsche of Robert Megennis and Phil Fayer (pictured above), as well as the No. 67 entry that’s driven by Gordon Scully and Morgan Burkhard.
