Colter's (Justin Hartley) job takes him to many places all over the country, which is a convenient excuse for why he rarely goes home. However, in the Tracker Season 2 finale, a case forces him to return to Echo Ridge, where he grew up. "Colter returns to Echo Ridge to investigate a diner owner's disappearance, only to uncover a decades-old kidnapping and a shocking family secret," reads the logline for Tracker Season 2, Episode 20, "Echo Ridge." His homecoming throws him directly into the mysteries surrounding his family while investigating a kidnapping that occurred a long time ago. CBS released images from the episode, showing Colter's exploits in Echo Ridge. He reunites with his mother, and he seeks answers. Wendy Crewson returns as Colter's mother, Mary Dove Shaw.
