Chelsea stance on Moises Caicedo transfer revealed after Al-Nassr interest

According to The Telegraph, Al-Nassr have registered their interest in signing Caicedo ahead of the summer transfer window. The report claims that the Saudi Pro League side, who are captained by Cristiano Ronaldo and also have Sadio Mane, Aymeric Laporte and Jhon Duran in their squad, view Caicedo as a ‘dream target’. The best thing about Moi is that every day he’s working serious, he’s very humble, he’s very kind, he’s polite, he’s a fantastic guy. ‘I think today was another great performance.’ Chelsea defender Levi Colwill also praised Caicedo’s impact in Chelsea’s midfield. ‘Moi is just breaking up everything, he’s making everything look so easy,’ Colwill said. ‘For me, if I had a mic on me when I’m playing, all you’d hear is,’ oh, wow, Moi’, that’s all I do because he makes it so easy for us in the defence because he stops everything before it gets to us.’ For more stories like this, check our sport page. Chelsea have no intention of selling Moises Caicedo this summer following interest from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.

The Ecuador international turned down a move to Liverpool in order to join Chelsea in a £115 million deal from Brighton in 2023.

Caicedo struggled in his first season at Chelsea but under Enzo Maresca this term, the 23-year-old has been one of the team’s standout performers.

Speaking after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Tottenham earlier this month, Maresca hailed Caicedo as one of the world’s best in his position.

‘I think in this moment he’s one of the best, or the best defensive midfielder in the world,’ Maresca said.
