Chappell Roan Says Sex With Women Is Easier Than Her ‘Performative’ Hookups With Men | Video

Chappell Roan spoke candidly about her sex life, past and present to podcaster Alex Cooper on Wednesday’s episode of “Call Her Daddy,” saying that sex with women is a lot easier and a lot more enjoyable.

The Grammy winner, whose songs include “HOT TO GO!” and “Pink Pony Club” said she used to have “performative” hookups with men before she came out as a lesbian in 2018 and said that her male partners were “selfish” and not as reciprocal and “giving” as women.

“When I started hooking up with women, I realized how easy it is, actually… You know what’s hard? Sucking d–k,” she said towards the end of the interview as Cooper burst out laughing.

She continued, “I was like, F–k you guys. This is [actually] enjoyable … I was always confused why my boyfriends didn’t want to go down [on me].”

“Because they’re so f—ing selfish,” Cooper responded. She added, “I think they’re
terrified of their masculinity being threatened if they don’t really know what to do.”

“I think about hooking up with women compared to men and how much women give to their partner,” the singer said. “Specifically in fem relationships, it’s such an understanding that it’s so giving. I just feel like when I was with men, it wasn’t mutual.”

When Cooper asked the singer, “How has your relationship to your sexuality evolved over the years?” Roan replied, “Obviously, I’ve become more comfortable with saying I’m queer, with dating women.”

Roan went on to say she’s had “an awesome time” in a committed relationship for the past six months, and that she is “very much in love.“
