Olivier-Maxence Prosper‘s season is officially over.

The Dallas Mavericks announced on Thursday that the Canadian forward will miss the remainder of the season after having surgery to repair a right wrist injury.

Prosper, a native of Montreal, sustained the injury earlier in the month. The 22-year-old was selected 24th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft.

In 92 career games with the Mavericks, Prosper is averaging 3.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 10 minutes per contest. With a slew of injuries for Dallas in recent weeks, however, the youngster stepped up and picked up his play. Through his last 24 games, he racked up four starts while averaging 5.9 points and 3.1 rebounds through 16.3 minutes.

He now joins Mavericks superstars Anthony Davis and Kyrie Irving (also out for the season) on the shelf, while big men Dereck Lively III and Daniel Gafford are also injured.

The slumping Mavs sit 10th in the Western Conference at 33-34. They’ve lost six of their last seven.

Dallas will return to action on Friday as it caps off a three-game road trip by visiting the Rockets in Houston.
