Bottega and Airfoods reveal Prosecco Bar at Madrid-Barajas Airport
With its feel good slogan ‘Italian Sparkling Life’, the new departures area venue pairs Bottega wines with Italian-influenced food.

SPAIN. Bottega, in partnership with concessionaire Airfoods, has revealed its latest Bottega Prosecco Bar & Caffé in the departures area at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.
The bar is a concept created by Bottega which re-proposes the philosophy of the Venetian bacaro, where food is presented both as cicheti (appetisers to be eaten at the counter) and full dishes served at the tables. The food is complemented by a range of wines from Bottega.
The Prosecco Bar format was launched in 2014 on board Viking Group ship Cinderella, which operates on the Baltic Sea.
More recently, the brand has been introduced at international airports including Rome Fiumicino, Dubai, Venice Marco Polo, Istanbul, London Stansted, Prague and Abu Dhabi.
Combined with openings in the domestic market, the Madrid-Barajas Airport bar takes the venue total to 36, established in just 11 years.
Bottega President Sandro Bottega said: “Madrid is one of the busiest airports in Europe and, at the same time, the main hub for connections to Latin America. We are therefore extremely pleased with the recent opening of a Bottega Prosecco Bar at the airport.
“The collaboration with Airfoods, whom we thank for their commitment, aims to fully appreciate the Italian and Mediterranean gastronomic culture in combination with our wines.”
