BLACKPINK’s Lisa has opened up about her experience starring on The White Lotus season three, saying she was “proud to be able to share my culture”.
Yesterday (April 8), BLACKPINK’s Lisa shared an Instagram post where she spoke about her time as a cast member of HBO’s The White Lotus, with season three having aired its finale on April 6. “What a ride,” Lisa wrote in the caption of a post, which featured behind-the-scenes photos of her time on set.
“Thank you Mike White for trusting in me to fulfil the role of Mook and bring her character to life,” the Thai K-pop idol said about her role, which also marked her small screen debut. “It was the greatest honour to be part of this show as my first acting gig alongside such incredible actors.”
“I’m so proud to be able to share my culture and show the beauty of Thailand to the world. Mook has changed my life in a way where I am learning more about myself and my capabilities,” she added. “My Sunday nights may feel a lot emptier but closing out The White Lotus with a full heart.”
The BLACKPINK star recently performed at the 2025 Oscars, which took place last month. Lisa was part of a performance tribute to the James Bond franchise, alongside RAYE and Doja Cat. Actress Margaret Qualley also made an appearance during the performance.
Notably, both RAYE and Doja Cat collaborated with Lisa on the latter’s single, ‘Born Again’. The song is a single from Lisa’s debut solo album, ‘Alter Ego’, which also featured tracks such as ‘Rockstar’, ‘Moonlit Floor’, ‘New Woman’ and more.
