The Honda HR-V in Malaysia gains a new exterior colour, Stellar Diamond Pearl which joins the B-segment crossover’s palette of colours that is also comprised of Ignite Red Metallic, Ruse Black Metallic, Meteoroid Grey Metallic and Platinum White Pearl (an RM800 option across all four variants).
In the palette that continues to offer five colours, Platinum White Pearl returns to succeed Premium White Pearl (previously a RM600 premium) as the cost-option choice; Ruse Black Metallic replaces Crystal Black Pearl, and the new colour, Stellar Diamond Pearl replaces Lunar Silver Metallic.
There continues to be four variants of the HR-V – the 1.5 S with a naturally aspirated 1.5 litre petrol engine at RM115,900; the 1.5L T E and 1.5L T V with a turbocharged 1.5L petrol engine, at RM130,900 and RM135,900 respectively; and the 1.5L e:HEV RS at RM141,900. All prices are for Peninsular Malaysia, on-the-road without insurance. These prices are unchanged from the increases in July 2023.
As such, powertrain offerings for the HR-V remain as before, starting with the 1.5 S that packs a naturally aspirated 1.5 litre petrol engine producing 121 PS at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm, while the E and V grades get the turbocharged 1.5L petrol that outputs 181 PS at 6,000 rpm and 240 Nm from 1,700 rpm to 4,500 rpm.
The 1.5L e:HEV RS hybrid gets a 1.5L naturally aspirated, Atkinson-cycle petrol engine serving as a generator that makes 131 PS and 253 Nm, but the engine can also drive the vehicle directly at higher speeds.
In terms of equipment, the Honda HR-V range gets an eight-inch display audio infotainment unit across the board, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a four-speaker sound system. For ADAS, Honda Sensing is on all variants, while the LaneWatch camera system and Honda Connect are on the V and e:HEV RS variants.
